As her pulse quickens, she opens her hazel marbles. Awake. Alive. Alone. Gripping onto the white sheets which were the last to embrace her for the journey of isolation, Alice stumbles towards a glass peep hole, gazing lifelessly outside the word she once abandoned. Limbs numb, she rests her pale fingers on the cold window ledge, supporting the burdened weight, whilst a sharp breeze wakens her senses; this was reality. Driving cars could be seen at such a height above the granite sky, and the roads they ventured on... It hurts. That agonising pain, which ripped and twisted her chest, swelled uncontrollably. It's unbearable. This weight on her back which seeps through her eyes- these fragile legs couldn't support the pressure. Glancing towards the panicked nurses, no sound emitted from their mouths. The words muted over that single noise behind her. Ringing. Bellowing. Deafening. The only sound that was registering... The only sound that pierced her ear drum... The only sound that drowned out the inner silence: Was the perpetual pulse besides her bed, that suddenly came to a stop. ----------------------------------------------- The after story of 'Deemo', which contains spoilers of the original game.
