Nothing unexpected ever happen in my life, that is until that day...
I worked at a water park, it was a pretty good size water park, and it was mostly used for kids. We had a lot of children that day with their parents. I think the estimate of people that were there were about 400. They were all enjoying their time in the water, splashing each other, playing tag in the water, because they weren't a loud to run. It was a perfect day, I talked to my co workers, some life guards and that was about it. I had a hard time making friends I was shy, but that didn't stop me from becoming good friends with Cameron. She was the first person I liked because she was super nice and comfortable to talk to. When it was time to switch different shifts I ended up at the lazy river, handing people tubes, it was fun, until...
A herd of creatures came running in, moaning as they ran. No one knew what was happening, some parents grabbed their children, while others stood there and stared. Then all of a sudden of them grabbed a little girl who was screaming and bit her face off. I could see the flesh being pilled of by the creature; then I realized the little girl stopped screaming because I knew what happen... she was dead.
That was when my life turned around. Cameron came and grabbed my arm and with that we were off. Hopefully we would make it to her car, and if we didn't, well I would hate to see what would happen if we didn't make it.

I always thought I was safe, you know? I mean, it wasn't really something I thought about before. It's not like I had a reason to worry about being particularly unsafe. I've always been perfectly normal anyways. Nothing exciting or dangerous happened to me. I was a plain Jane in every sense of the phrase, and nothing strange or particularly astonishing ever happens to people like me. My entire philosophy, however, was completely and drastically changed after being attacked and raped one night. I probably would have been killed if it weren't for Drake Collins, the closed off "tough guy" of my school. He came to my rescue, and reluctantly swore not to breathe a word to anyone. Unfortunately, my attacker escaped. It was after that, that I closed myself off from the few people that I did talk to before. My safety, my very sense of security, was violated. My world was swept out from under my feet. Drake stayed by my side the entire time, helping me through my struggles. When Sammy's parents got divorced, she didn't mind at all, because she knew that they weren't meant to be together, and if they weren't happy with each other, then they don't have to stay together for her sake. She lived with her mom, and her dad visited regularly, when he could get away from his work; running a top class private boarding school. Her mom turns on her when her favourite person leaves town, and her life slowly starts losing meaning, and she can't think of anything that makes her happy, except being with her best friend. Then, she goes too... With nothing making her happy in her small town, she makes a life-changing decision, that she thinks will benifit her, and make her life all that she wanted. Or, it could go very wrong and be worse than staying where she is. "Dad, I want to live with you" I told him over the phone, in tears. Nothing new there. "Samantha, you know I'd love you too, but there isn't any school around this area, remember? My school is in the countryside, with nothing within a short driving dinstance" he all but rejected me. "Then can I move schools? Attend your boarding school?" He was silent, then let out a long sigh of defeat. "I'll enroll you now. Pack your things, I'll send a car in the morning for you." That was all I needed to hear, and I was thrilled. Without making noise, I danced around my room and repeatedly thanked him. I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India.
