In his last days, Avery Cole, recounts the "only memory that actually matters" to his two grandchildren, Marley and Stephanie. He tells them about the love of his life. Even though he has a fading memory in his last couple days, he still can remember everything that happened in the two years they were together. He tells them everything. Some things that are a bit much, but he feels they should know.
Remembering is always painful for Avery. Remembering her is even more painful.
