He always wants something to happen but nothing ever does, he wakes up, goes to school, comes home, does homework, goes to sleep. Every. Single. Day.
But one day a new kid comes to school, his name is Phil, he is depressed and needs a friend but doesn't want one, the last time he had a friend that friend, died. Phil thought it was his fault that he died so Phil stopped trying to be friends with people to keep them safe.
But Dan is not taking no for an answer
