James is an ordinary boy in high school. He has one loving sister named Sofia and a mum who works long hours and is often at various levels of intoxication throughout the week. He's just like everybody else, except he has a worst enemy, Luke. The boy who picks on him and James can't seem to get away.
When the schools soccer trials roll around, James decides to try out to avoid detention and partly as a funny joke. Unfortunately, luck is not on his side that day. With the turn up this year falling short, the coach decides to add him to the team. However, the James has no idea what his doing. Who needs to know the rules, right?
Intensive training and teamwork (plus a lot of just winging it) has lead them to winning almost every game they have played.
But with the biggest game of the season approaching, and James's skills still lacking, how will they be able to pull everyone together to win the game. How will James become the most popular boy in school after living in the background?
