I sloshed through the rain, cursing at the noises I was making. A purple light whizzed through the air, hitting the tree to my left. I swerved to the right and slammed headfirst into a tree. Gods I hate this forest, my "HOME". I flipped up off the floor and started running again "You know we can't just let you leave,at least not alive",she responds.

We started with a spark, then a bonfire, and then a wildfire. As in, she burned my house down and walked away laughing. The flames rise higher and higher, like hands reaching out to a savior. Smoke hides the stars, fills my lungs, and sinks into my clothes. I don't know if I'm crying or if the heat is just becoming overwhelming. "WOOO!~ Ain't it pretty, Raine?~" she grabs my hands, and drags me along with her as she dances around the crumbling remains of my life as I knew it. Her strawberry blonde hair dances with her, flying like the flames. She keeps eye contact with the embers while I keep my eyes on her. "Yes...beautiful."
