Cas said it so quickly that I couldn't even understand what he said.  My future? My dream? I don't usually think of this stuff and neither does Cas.

"I mean, I hope my future is alright. Happy family, good job, you know the perfect life. But that's like winnin' the lottery, dude. There's no way."

"Why not?"

"I got all I need right here." I gave him a small smile.

"But a hot chick wouldn't hurt amirite?" I jabbed him in the ribs with my elbow.

"No I mean, What about our friendship? You think it will last? Balthazar thinks  we'll grow apart."

"I, uh, I don't know Cas. I'm not sure, but I do know that right now you're my bestest friend and I would do anything for you. No doubt about it."

Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!

Dean and Cas are 23, Sam is 22, Gabe is 24 Deans also more like his early season self, y'know when he was still vaguely in touch with his emotions (PSA: Trigger warnings will be at the top of each chapter if needed, stay safe my silver nuggets. Please. Nothing graphic, just description from what my personal experience with all of it has been. Also, time is a weird thing in this book, it doesn't quite make sense.
