Cas said it so quickly that I couldn't even understand what he said. My future? My dream? I don't usually think of this stuff and neither does Cas.
"I mean, I hope my future is alright. Happy family, good job, you know the perfect life. But that's like winnin' the lottery, dude. There's no way."
"Why not?"
"I got all I need right here." I gave him a small smile.
"But a hot chick wouldn't hurt amirite?" I jabbed him in the ribs with my elbow.
"No I mean, What about our friendship? You think it will last? Balthazar thinks we'll grow apart."
"I, uh, I don't know Cas. I'm not sure, but I do know that right now you're my bestest friend and I would do anything for you. No doubt about it."

Cas and Dean are seniors in high school and they've been best friends since they were five years old. They know everything about one another, or so Dean thought. The Winchester boys had lived next door to Novaks for as long as anyone in the sleepy little town could remember. Cas and Dean were always best friends, joined at the hip was an understatement. It wasn't until they got into high school, they finally acted upon their feelings of intense love for each other. Inseparable, utterly, stupidly and madly in love. They were both shattered, but their broken edges fit together perfectly. Both suffering from abusive households, both with a brother that they'd die for. Meant for each other.
