ALERT SPOILERS:: From the Order of the Pheonix:

Neville Longbottom was one of the two children possibly referred to in the prophecy as being destined to bring about Voldemort's end. However, Voldemort chose to target the Potters based on the simple concept that Harry was a half-blood like himself, thus marking Harry with his famous lightning-bolt scar, and not Neville.

But what if he hadn't?

Elara June Lupin was the beacon of light in her family - full of laughter, wildflowers in her hair, and a heart that burned like the summer sun. She was brightness and bravery, the kind of girl who believed in hope even when the world told her not to. Regulus Black was the Slytherin Prince - cold-eyes and silver-tongued, all sharp edges and secrets. A boy raised on pure-blood legacy and quiet survival, with a future that was already carved into stone. When they're paired together in fifth-year Potions, everyone expects the worst - light and shadow rarely mix. But slowly, between simmering cauldrons and late-night study sessions, something shifts. A glance held too long. A lingered touch of hands. A truth shared in the dark. As the world around them begins to fracture under the weight of a growing war, Elara and Regulus are forced to choose: loyalty to the names they were born with, or the love that defies it all. Because sometimes, the brightest stars burn out too soon. And sometimes, love is the most dangerous rebellion of all.
