I just got a call from Anna saying she was holding a get together with some old High School friends. I'm nervous. Want to know why? Because I'm supposed to socialize with people I haven't seen in I don't know how long and like who they've become? I think not. But because Anna has always been there for me, I have to. I sighed and stood up from my bear themed bed. I walked over to my closet and grabbed a orange crop top with the Mocking Jay from the Hunger Games, some blue skinny jeans and my favorite red all stars. I put my wild red hair in a low ponytail and walked out the door. Grabbing my earphones along the way so I didn't have to listen to people. You know how I said I was nervous? Well I'm also a little excited. It's been 2 years since I've seen Anna's face. Her loving, sweet, kind, gentle face. And her amazingly warm hugs, I just want that again. Considering I haven't seen my Mother or my Father since I moved out when I was 19. I can imagine my three triplet brothers causing mayhem in their school. I smiled and giggled a little bit before I came across Anna's two story house. I looked into the driveway and saw 3 other cars already parked. I groaned and parked on the side of the street. I climbed out from the car and walked up to the white house. It looked very fancy, with a dark green paint outlining the windows and the door. I walked up the steps and knocked on the door. As I waited I looked on my phone to see if I could find a song to listen to incase anyone tried to talk to me. I came across I song I particularly liked called Learn Me Right by Mumford and Sons. And just as it began to play I heard the door crack open. I quickly paused the music and looked up with a smiling face only to see a man standing in front of me. He had a blond mop of hair and a scruffy beard. My smile disappeared, " Ah! Merida! So glad you could make it, we were starting to think you weren't coming!" The man smiled. He welcomed me in and who I saw next made my heart stop.

A "Beauty and the Beast" retelling. Once upon a time, there was a boy in love with a Lilly. Not a flower, but a girl. It all started one beautiful autumn day. One autumn day that would change the boy's life forever. For on this day, he met Lilly, a beautiful girl with an ugly secret. A secret that threatens to destroy her if she cannot find a way to break the curse forced upon her. Filled with secrets, lies, and love, this short story captures the essence of the original fairy tale with an entirely new twist. ~~~ "Hello, my name is Lilly. What's yours? Is that your mother? I only just came to live here with Ivy, and I don't know many people that come to visit her yet. Do you come often? If you do, we could be friends! Would you like that? To be friends? Why, don't you speak at all? And you should really close your mouth; it is impolite to stare like that." Ivy called out to her from the doorway of the cottage. "Lilly, if you want him to speak, you must first cease speaking." Both of the women were laughing at the children, and Lilly blushed at the comment. "Sorry! I just haven't seen anyone my age yet, and I got excited, which happens rather easily. It reminds me a bit of puppies I've read about that just get so excited that they- oops. I'm doing it again. Sorry," she said with a shy smile. Adam, who had been standing there staring, just as she had pointed out, finally found his voice long enough to tell her his name. She beamed at him, saying that they would be great friends. She seized his hand and began tugging him toward the woods behind the cottage, shouting to Ivy and his mother, "We won't go far! Be back soon!" ~~~
