It's been a long time since the Octarians were defeated by the Agents and were forced to make peace with the Inklings. Times have been great since then -- Inklings and Octarians now live together in harmony.

Well... Most Octarians, that is.

Far south of Octo Valley lies another Octarian civilization -- Octo City.

Believe me, the inhabitants of Octo City are... Less than friendly to say the least.

The people of Octo City are bound and determined to break the peaceful bond between Inklings and Octarians. They would even go as far as to start a war, just to separate the two (mostly) peaceful species.

The Northern Octarians have one plan -- albeit a risky one. Most of the original Octarian army has withdrawn from their positions to live a peaceful lifestyle, so they only have one thing to do... Rebuild the army from the ground up.

It all starts with an average Inkling girl and shy Octoling boy, completely oblivious towards the Southern Octarian Rebellion. They think that everything is fine, at least on the surface.

They couldn't have been more wrong.

It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.
