It's been a long time since the Octarians were defeated by the Agents and were forced to make peace with the Inklings. Times have been great since then -- Inklings and Octarians now live together in harmony. Well... Most Octarians, that is. Far south of Octo Valley lies another Octarian civilization -- Octo City. Believe me, the inhabitants of Octo City are... Less than friendly to say the least. The people of Octo City are bound and determined to break the peaceful bond between Inklings and Octarians. They would even go as far as to start a war, just to separate the two (mostly) peaceful species. The Northern Octarians have one plan -- albeit a risky one. Most of the original Octarian army has withdrawn from their positions to live a peaceful lifestyle, so they only have one thing to do... Rebuild the army from the ground up. It all starts with an average Inkling girl and shy Octoling boy, completely oblivious towards the Southern Octarian Rebellion. They think that everything is fine, at least on the surface.
