Nora Patterson is ten when she finds out that her parents have kept something from her. She has an identical twin sister who died in the womb before birth. Every month for twelve years she writes to her sister. At first it begins as a type of therapy but as life goes nothing ever stays the same and after time the letters become deeply personal, but soon a mysterious person begins writing back signing the letters with her dead sisters name.
