Dandelions in the Wind

Josh's POV: A warm sensation courses through my veins as I press my lips against Kenzie's. My arms automatically wrap around her waist as she flings her arms around my neck. I press her body closer to mine so our stomachs are touching. She smells like vanilla with a hint of cinnamon. Her lips are soft like a rose petal and I can feel goose bumps shimmer across the skin of her arms. Rays of sunlight shine upon us as we kiss. Her skin heats up and I can feel her smiling against my lips.

McKenzie Jonas goes to a preppy private school, lives in a big house, and has everything a normal teenage girl could ever want. Joshua Cooper has no education, no family, lives in the woods and lives off the remains of food in trash cans by fast food restaurants, and is just barely getting by on life. When Kenzie's dog runs away she runs after her almost getting raped in the process. Josh hears her pleads and comes to her rescue. Barely getting away, they go to Kenzie's house. The fight leaves Josh badly wounded so Kenzie decides to hide him away in her study. In his healing time they spend a considerable amount of time together, getting to know one another including each others secrets. As their friendship battles through complications they realize it's more than that. But that's what gets them in trouble...
