One metal door was at the end of the hall, dividing me with my future. I knew in my heart that whatever was waiting on the other side of that door would change my life forever.
With all my might I slammed the door and ripped it off its hinges. The sight before me had my blood run cold. Aaron had my Nate by the throat with a silver knife.
"Nate!" I yelped in horror.
"I gotta say Aurora, you disappoint me. I thought you would do better. How come it took you six weeks to find your darling human mate?" Aaron shook his head.
I looked at Nate, who's bloodshot blue eyes were staring wide eyed at me. He finally found out my deepest darkest secret.

Excerpt only: I quickly run in their direction as my claws elongate into fierce points. I watch as a man in all black strikes down and kills one of the innocent packless men before turning to another.
