Unfortunately, his luck catches up to him every once in a while in the worst way possible. Eventually, he finds himself landed in the hospital after a lucky streak of nearly a year. He's dealt with worse before, but this time around, he meets someone different.

Maddy prefers to go by Meddy because her idol is none other than the gorgon Medusa herself. She's in the hospital because of a fatal accident that marred her body and a terminal illness that's slowly counting down her days. Face filled with scars and completely blind, the last thing Meddy ever expected was to become friends with someone as charming and lucky as Midas.

But like the days of old, some things were never meant to be. As a King with a tragic touch and a creature that strikes the worst fear in others, happiness is not a term they're both familiar with. Frozen in stone and frozen in gold, fate would grant neither of them victory.

We all know of the legendary story of Perseus. The demigod, son of Zeus, and slayer of Medusa, the half-snake, half-human Gorgon. The story lived for as long as we know it, but what if I told you that Perseus wasn't the hero you knew? What if I told you, he didn't kill Medusa or marry Andromeda, the Princess of Ethiopia or even save her city from the Kraken? In fact, Perseus had a male lover from the twenty-first century, our time of technology. Jonathan Hank; a troubled young man who just couldn't get a break from life. His home is filled with misery, especially from his alcoholic dad. He would've taken his life if it weren't for Alexander, his deceased boyfriend. The one person who showed him that life isn't always bad. After the birthday party for his younger sister, Valerie, Jonathan's dad took something away from him. Something to remember his dead lover by. And that drove him to meet a strange man or being that granted him a wish he longed for, way before he knew Alexander. What is it?
