Crashing and sinking
As it goes on its last journey
My mother is the smoke
Dangerous and hurtful
Making your lungs scream
"Help, I need air!"
My Father is the propellers
Confusing to understand how they work
Sharp and hurtful when touched
Spinning in all directions
My sister Ashley is the engine
Powerful and loud
Keeping the family going
Unmoving if nonworking
My sister Amanda is the smoke stacks
Sturdy and strong
Puffing wise and kind words
Always wanting to be the most noticed
My brother is the life boat
Protecting scared children
While trying to save himself
Having to support his own weight
And I am the children
Small, aware, knowing what's going on
Seeing everyone running in terror
As the ship slowly disappears under water
