Eliza and her three siblings live in their own personal apocalypse. Every day is a struggle to survive since Mama died, leaving them alone with a drunk Daddy and dying grandfather. Tara, the oldest, vows to take care of them all, and Eliza has no doubt that she can. Tara is strong, she's smart, and she's brave - things Eliza only wishes she were. Things are tough, but with Tara at the helm, Eliza is sure that everything will be okay. Then Uncle Henry moves in, and with him comes the realization that there is a darkness in the world that even the brightest of light can't abolish.
