Alex Thompson has never been into very girly stuff. Sure she is fine with shopping and lighter colors, but she would much rather throw a football with
her brother, Caleb. Alex is at the top of her class so no one would expect her to be good at football.

"So, you think you could join the football team?" Hayden asked me.
"You bet I could. I bet, I could replace you as linebacker," I said with a smirk as I crossed my arms. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Caleb slap his
forehead. It kind of hurt that he thought that I couldn't do this. He knew I was good so why did he doubt me?
"Yeah right, I highly doubt that you could be better than me. But I'll make a deal with you. If you can make a field goal, and play as good an me in a scrimmage, then maybe, you take my place," he said.
"Okay, deal," I said shaking his hand.
"Okay 5:00 next Tuesday."
"Got it," I said nodding. As Caleb and I got in the car he said,
"Your doomed. You know that right!"
"This would be easier if my brother was more encouraging," I stated as I looked you my window.
"I'm just worried about you. I don't want you to get hurt. Have you seen us play? Your going to get tackled!" he exclaimed as he turned on the engine.
"Yeah, but that's normal. I can do this!" This was followed by silence. All the ride home I was wondering 'Could I actually do this? Well it is worth a try'
