the girl compares her life to glass. sometimes durable. but most times it just cracks and cracks until it shatters. and once glass is shattered, it cant be put back together. 

the boy compares his life to fire. although many see it to be toxic and destructive, he sees the beauty in the dancing flames. but should he get to close, he will be burned. 

both hide behind a mask. both want nothing more than to remain hidden in the shadows. both stay behind glass walls.
