I remember I did this for a couple of days the smell of their rotting bodies became immune to me. Today I am just one of the few survivors, one of the many orphans, and one of the kids whose childhood was taken away with no right. Innocent lives taken away never had the chance to live life. Sometimes I wish it was me who died I would not have to be living this crappy world. The genocide lasted about 100 days and about 800,000 lives were taken away. Everyday I relive that night it's been 12 years since the genocide. I am now 18 and I still remember it like if it was just yesterday.

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. The Hunger Games - Broadcast of Survival
War, terrible war. Widows, orphans, a motherless child. This was the uprising that rocked our land. Thirteen districts rebelled against the country that fed them, loved them, protected them. Brother turned on brother until nothing remained. And then came the peace, hard fought, sorely won. A people rose up from the ashes and a new era was born. But freedom has a cost. And so it was decreed that, each year, the various districts of Panem would offer up, in tribute, one young man and woman to fight to the death in a pageant of honor, courage and sacrifice. This year 24 new tributes have been reaped, all with one objective, survive. But who will win? So this is just a dumb fanfic I wrote about my friends at college, its not meant to be taken seriously and I'm only putting it here so that my friends can have access to is as I write it.
