After the brutal murder of her mother, and having never known her father, Iris Sterling is forced into foster care. The constant moves and temporary families taught her never to trust anyone, and that nothing lasts forever. But after a run in with the police, she is forced to move town, and it seems like staying with Cecilia is her only chance at redemption. But what she doesn't know is that she needs that town, and that family, to discover secrets about herself and her family's past that will help to save everyone she has ever cared about.
