After her memory is wiped, Melanie is saved by Jeff Tracy and brought to Tracy Island as she was extremely malnourished even pregnant and because Brains knows her by reputation. They nurse her back to health and months later, Melanie gives birth to the very healthy Tracie Orenburg. Years later, Jeff vanished and the Hood returns bringing back the anger Melanie had for the Hood being responsible for her not remembering herself or the one she loves.
