In a world where humans have discovered the existence of werewolves, lives 17 year old Katie.  Katie lives on the outskirts of a quiet town, and with the use of animals, her family is nearly self-sufficient. By far, her love for her gelding Firefly exceeds that of the other animals. Life had been going better for Katie and her two brothers, and the family was finally recovering from the murder of the third brother, which was committed by werewolves.

However, when Firefly is brutally murdered by another werewolf, Katie's mind is set on exterminating all the wolves she can. Taking her brother infuriated her, and killing Firefly pushed her over the edge. 

But when Katie comes across the Beta of the Dark Light pack, the fates chose her to be his mate.  Katie must resist him, and continue on with her mission. She must gain the retribution she has longed for years, and she won't allow this boy to stop her. The pain of rejecting him is something she must overcome, but the discovery of this beta's own mission may just change things in Katie's purpose.All Rights Reserved
