Beadail Valentine Lowood hates parties. She's hated them since her sixth birthday when her parents hired a clown for entertainment, and he proceeded to have a massive heart-attack, leading to his death in the hospital an hour later. She's hated parties since finding out you had to be sociable with everyone at them. And most importantly she's hated them since going to her crush's sweet sixteen, where after getting shit-faced; managed to puke on him in front of all the kids from their school.

But that's okay, because she's about to have the time of her life at then end of the year carnival with her friends. She'll see that parties can be fun when you have good company and don't care what everyone thinks.

You should only care what he thinks.
