In the flourishing country of Revéille, magic is the fear of legends old. Any and all forms of magic has been outlawed, not that the belief is widespread in the first place, because what crackpot monarch thought that magic was real?

The people are disgruntled by this and small rebellions have sparked all across her nation. Having no choice but to relinquish her throne, she decides that she's going out with a bang.
