The new girl comes to town. And the school dance is coming up. But the new girl isn't at school for five days. And people start wondering. What is wrong? Is she okay? Because she never missed a day sense she came. Is she going to make the dance people asked? Her boyfriend started to worry along with the others. Then she shows up at the end of the school day. People started throwing questions at her. Where were you? Why did you miss so many days? Are you okay? And out of all of the questions her boyfriend came and gives her a long hug. And then everyone leaves the school for the day. She stays at the school with no one. That night she falls asleep on the school stairs. And that moment she closed her eyes. She feels a quick flash of heat go down her body. And the next day she woke up in a forest with blood on her hands. And she screams as loud as she can. And then she walked back to the school. And when the people at the school saw the blood on her hands. And they asked what happened.

After being rejected by her husband and Alpha in front of half the werewolf world, Allison does the only thing left that makes sense- she walks away. Heartbroken but unbowed, she rebuilds from the ground up, turning her experience as a Luna into something new: Luna's Compass, a consultancy that fixes the messes other packs are too proud to admit they made. No attachments. No politics. No pity. But fate has a sense of humor. Her newest client, Gordon Hale, is a widowed Alpha raising three daughters and holding his pack together by sheer will. What starts as a six-month contract becomes something far more complicated- professionally, politically, and painfully personal. Between grief, politics, and the slow burn of something she swore she'd never feel again, Allison must learn that fate isn't about who you're tied to - It's about who you become when the bond breaks.
