"I've heard of fans supposedly falling in love with fictional characters, but this seems a little extreme."
Roland thinks his life can't possibly change any more than it already has.
Moving from the city to the countryside with his mom has taken away his friends, his school, half his family and the little apartment they lived in.
But after a few days of living in an old house that was supposed to be abandoned for a century, Roland finds a video cassette sealed away in his bedroom.
And watching it did the last thing he thought was possible.
It changed everything.
Suddenly Roland possessed every clue and was hot on the trail of this small town's big mystery; the sudden disappearance of a certain young teenage girl.
The girl that the whole town had concluded was dead, he discovered was alive.
And he was determined to find her.

The man tells her his name finally but he also reveals a dark horrible secret from his past which traumatized him for years, then she feels like she's actually falling in love with him. He knows everything about her, the reason she became human, the two powers she could have, the truth of how her father died. He begins to protect her life with his own.
