. After being bit by multiple genetically-altered spiders, high school student Petra Parker finds that she can now shoot webs from her wrists, lift more than 20 tons, and cling to any surface like a spider. Petra soon discovers that she indirectly caused the death of her Uncle Ben and she vows to use her powers to fight crime. Taking the name Spider-Girl, Petra fights assorted super-villains while balancing high school, her personal life, and an editor at the Daily Bugle who has convinced himself Spider-Girl is a criminal that needs to be brought down.

At first the story seems like a teenage girl love story, but it changes. Once upon a time there were two teenagers that met, did not quite like each other but they will soon love each other. Peter seems dorky and all secretive, but he is really a thrill riding super hero! Gwen was a popular girl at middle town high and everyone loved her, but she did not want to be popular. At first Gwen was hanging out with Peter so she wouldn't be popular anymore, Peter was hanging out with her because he felt bad for her, then they hang out because they like one another, and that's how it begins. Crystal was your average teen - until she got bitten by a radioactive spider. Now she has powers like Spider-Man - but Spider-Man is a fictional character! How can these powers exist in real life?? How will Crystal balance being a normal teen and having unreal powers? I own the story and characters. However, Spider-Man is mentioned, and I do not own Spider-Man or Marvel.
