Stop it!" she says, slapping my hand. I pin her down and get on top of her, and she tries to push me away with her body. "Please, let me go! I don't want to be here! I hate you!" she says, kicking. The bedroom holds sacred territory for me. The bed, its altar. One upon which I've offered sacrifices, so many to count and recall.
