Seven months have passed since Angel Bautista concluded her relationship with Dante Evadoni - seven long months to think and to recover from the two seemingly brief ones that came to an abrupt end. For Angel, moving on for the most part hasn't been easy. The scars left behind by the departure of all things she'd once believed to last forever have forced her to construct barriers - barriers she'd gladly reinforced, barriers she built to protect herself from the events of the previous fall. For Angel, romance had never been of any interest to her since her previous-and first-relationship halted. Martin Esperanza, a friend to both Angel and Dante, has never been one to take girls and the search for one seriously. Easy-going and content, Martin firmly believes that there is a proper time for everything, and therefore does not invest a lot of effort to find someone to court. For Martin, romantic entanglements were extraneous. What happens then when, after what was intended to be a mere night out with friends, something is shared that Angel can't remember, and Martin can't understand? Between bottles of alcohol, late-night car drives, insistent friends, and a growing understanding amongst the confusion, the two realize that perhaps the craziest, most unforeseen things can lead to the most pleasant of epiphanies. Relapse

Sixteen-year old Dante Evadoni is a normal boy with a normal life - he's in eleventh grade, he has a fair few friends, he's not popular and he's quiet - and a problem that has followed him for two years: he's heels over head in love with a girl he can't seem to get over. Seventeen-year old Carolynn Quirox is in the same grade level as Dante, in the same circle of friends, although a bit apart from him. For two years, she has been avoiding Dante in an attempt to make him forget about her. She has never felt anything for Dante, believing that he isn't the one. Then, after some practices and one dance during a party, everything turns upside down. Just as Dante feels that his life has finally begun to go uphill, he is plagued by a memory that compels him to consider the way things are and how things should be. What happens when the past he needs to forget becomes the only way he can be happy? After that one party, Dante seems to be a different person in the eyes of Carolynn. She is confused at first, but the longer she tries to come to grips with her views of Dante, the more she realizes what she has been overlooking. How could someone she has known and avoided for two years seem to change in one evening? The two are forced apart, brought together, and both can't help wondering if they truly are meant to be without one another. Laden with dances, music, laughter, and heartbreak, 'Relapse' is the story of what happens when the first of feelings refuse to die out.
