The year doesn't matter anymore. Not much does in the future, where all the world's countries have joined together to form the United Government. Things are dull, normal, monotone, and controlled, just the way the head officials like it. But everything is shaken up when mythical creatures are discovered and sought out to be slaughtered. Suddenly, there is no place for them to go but the island- a small refugee camp where mythicals can be kept safe. Four young children are destined to meet here, and soon they are plunged into a quest together to save the island from dying out, all in four days time. Along the way friendships will be formed and loyalties tested, all on a journey of a few for the island's safety.
