Lev Langford isn't normal. At least, that's what everybody thinks. It's not like he chooses to be abnormal, but circumstances prevent him from fading into the grain like everybody else. They're all busy with modifications and jobs and bettering themselves, but he twiddles his thumbs away in his attic room and watches the world go by as they chase upward mobility and vanity in all its splendor. Then there's The Bridge. It connects West Trealles to East, but nobody ever crosses it. Crossing might not even be possible. Yet it's not the bridge itself that holds Lev's curiosity ever so fiercely, but what lies on the other side of the bridge. And perhaps one day he will find out. Perhaps one day he will learn what it means to be genuine, real, and authentic with people. Perhaps one day he will be intentional.
