His eyes drink the happy sights around the town. On his walk home he stopped at the window of a pet store to see a mom and her daughter laughing with the owner. "It's such a big town, and yet everyone still knows each other like family here," he pressed his now cupped hands around his eyes and against the glass to see that everyone else in that very building had also been mingling. After realizing he'd been staring for too long, he put his hands to his sides and continued the walk home, slowly dragging his feet with every lonley passing minute. 'Must be nice'.

"Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone."
