15-year-old Freyja Credor lives a bleak, mundane in Yorkshire, where her aunt raised her, and maintains a distant relationship with her father, an aloof and lonely scientist. For as long as she can remember, Freyja has had the ability to manipulate other people's minds but doesn't understand that this makes her different from everybody else until the day when an unknown person starts communicating with Freya through telepathy and lures her into doing actions that aren't her own. She realizes her unknown controller is a sinister powerful entity, Loki, who is determined to use her powers to wreak havoc in Alfheim, the world of elves. Determined to fight back, Freyja finds herself faced by a turmoil of ravaging battles, new dark worlds, unknown embedded secrets and of course, Loki the God of Mischief.
