My eyes widened and I started backing away, still half-thinking that I was freaking myself out. It started creeping through the trees towards me. My stomach leaped and whilst turning around, I ducked down and grabbed a stick. I didn't care what it was, I didn't want anywhere near it.
       I tried my best to avoid tripping on the littered ground. The creature seemed to hardly be moving at all. But when I looked back the second time, it was considerably closer to me. The wind blew against my back, as if willing me to run faster. The light from the moon seemed brighter, which I was thankful for as I maneuvered through the wood.
