In the times of Victorian England, there existed an aristocratic family called the Alingrace. They lurked within the underworld, controlling the filth so that the Queen may not see it surface. 

One day, people who thought ill of the Alingrace Household decided to pay their own version of revenge. They burned the house down as the parents slept, killed the guards before doing so, and attempted to drown their eldest daughter, Monet. Attempted.

As she sank, she was saved by a demon, and made a contract with him. But to his surprise, she wasn't just vengeful. She was greedy too. Instead of the minimalistic things on her mind, she had her eyes set on the crown.All Rights Reserved

The structure of the chapters is based on Dante's Inferno/The Devine Comedy. I started this around the same time I drafted "Letters From Iroh," when I was in my first year of college/university. I was reading the book for a Humanities course at the time and writing this helped me to better remember the order of all the layers of Hell and the corresponding sins/punishments/etc. Look at that, anime helped my grade!
