This is Jonnie fanfic for casualty. Jacob has a 2 year old daughter called Jessica (jessie). Jessie's mum died while giving birth and that has left a massive impact on Jessie. When Jacob meets Connie all he wants is for them to be together. He knows Connie has a daughter who is 8 so wasn't as worried about Jessie but he didn't want to get rejected because of Jessie like he had so many times before. She had a family with them and it was great at the start, but Sam would always be Sam and Connie would always be Connie. Six years on and everything seems to have gone back to the days when Connie was pregnant, she just wanted someone who had eyes for her and only her, but that wasn't Sam anymore. Title is from the song Try - Nelly Furtado. Heard it and this is where the idea sort of started from :)
