Fire, Earth, Water, Air...the four elements that make this world, yet four nations that separate it. All my great grandfather, Avatar Roku, wanted was an era of peace and harmony, but at lass his nation wanted otherwise...my nation wanted otherwise.

I never understood what came from dividing the four nations. Power, fear...were just a few words my old friend Prince Zuko used to describe it.

Only a select few know this as they are apart of a special group not tied to one nation, they are the White Lotus.
