I can't say magic. Homesickness? Insanity? Yes. But magic? No. Never. Not in the slightest sense of the word-no Houdinis, no magic carpets, and no theme parks-I don't believe in magic, so it's nonexistent.
    Magic.
    Isn't that just for children?

When Kelsey was ten, she saw a boy materialize out of a graffiti painting in her neighborhood in Boston. It's seven years after her family moves to Virginia that she's able to visit her childhood home again, traveling with her high school choir-but the trip doesn't go as she'd planned.

When she sneaks out of her hotel room to wander through her old neighborhood, Kelsey doesn't expect to meet Jack, the boy she saw seven years ago-or to be led into the magical kingdom in which fairy tales were born.

Kelsey's past is a mess, but her future could become even more confusing. As truths become lies and her allegiance is tested, will Jack guide her through? Or will every step she takes drag her further from home?

OF KINGS AND PAWNS

84 parts Complete

Ray is low on time, luck, and hope; his only chance is an artifact that may not even exist. But upon meeting Landon, Ray is beginning to believe he might find all four. ***** Cambions are doomed to tragedy. They are weak, sickly creatures that rarely live to see their twentieth year. Ray refuses to resign himself to that fate. Upon learning of the Crimson Sheath-an artifact capable of preserving his life-Ray is prepared to fight, steal, and kill to get his hands on it. He is not prepared for Landon. Landon is an orphan with no memories of his parents, the only inheritance left to him a dagger, sleeping in a crimson sheath. Though he has no love of bloodshed and no use for a dagger, Landon isn't about to let Ray take his only link to his forgotten history, even if that means following the cambion past the edge of the world and into the shadow beyond.
