Finding himself at the creek once again, he sees moving trucks. 

He doesn't want to, that was the reason for going to the creek, but, as he suspected they were going to do promptly, they were leaving. 

His best friend was leaving. She didn't even bother to come with him to their secluded spot for one last goodbye. It hurt, and he wondered if it hurt for her too, possibly even more than it did for him. 

He watched the trucks pass along the road, he was pained at the sight. 

'Maybe the new neighbor would fill this new void?' he thought.

Little did he know that this new neighbor, that was destined to move in within five days, would do so much more than that.
