Preston gets taken in by the a dysfunctional family of seven which is lead by the two oldest brothers in the absence of their parents. Preston's plan is to stay with them until Mitch comes home from serving in Afghanistan, and then he'll return to college. But, as usual, other things just get in the way.

Each ended up here in a very different way, but now they're all heading down the same path. Jerome never even realised that she was pregnant- he saw her for one night, drunk while at a party, and 9 months later he was served with papers, demanding he take custody. Mitch was raped.
