When Mira moves to Teller Valley, she realizes that she's gained a little "fan club". Desperate to fit in and blend into the normal crowd, she starts dating Matthew Banks, the shiest kid in school. However, when her popularity reaches what she believes to be its peak, she's asked out by Taylor Haag, the star quarterback. Stringing along two guys at once surely would be a bad idea, especially when she's trying to keep a low profile.
Matthew's the shiest kid in school. He always seems to push everyone away. Suddenly, when Mira moves to town, he's entranced. He can't help but notice her. He also can't help to notice that she seems to not want the attention she's been gaining, so Matthew asks her out. No one would try to bother her if she's dating the lame kid, would they?
Taylor's the star quarterback, and everyone loves him. All the girls flock to him. Everyone lives for his parties. That is until Mira moves to town. Now everyone's attention is moved to her. To regain his popularity, Taylor only sees one option: to date Mira.
