Kaidence is a 15 nearly 16 year old teenager, living in district 9 with her younger brother and sister, Alec and Iris. Her parents died from starvation during a drought a few years ago so Kaidence is the only one left to look after them.

Kaidence's life is changed completly when she is reaped into the 52nd Hunger games. Kaidence is a fighter and needs to try and win. Its not just her life that's at stake, her brother and sister need her too.
This isn't going to be the typical Hunger games. Read to see what happens to Kaidence. Will she survive the harsh violent games?

I would recommend reading at least the 1st book of the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins before reading this story.
