Casper was cursed, cursed to be a cat. A black cat. What did he do? He offended a witch by insulting her black cat. Waking up on the streets as a cat, he tries to get used to his new body but he wants to be human again. Wandering around, lost and losing hope, he is found by a sixteen year old girl who takes him in.
Tiara is a cat lover but never had the money to get a cat. She has always wished for a cat and fate has heard her cry. One day, on the way home, she finds a cat. A lost cat, wandering around aimlessly and mewing to be heard. Filled with pity, she brings the cat home and never expected the young black cat to be more than a cat.
Tiara embarks on a magical journey to help Casper find the witch and to undo the curse. Will they succeed or fail? Will this CATastrophe end? Will Casper's PURRfect human life be gone forever?

When Shrek asked me to go with him to visit Worcestershire Academy and find Arthur Pendragon, the one uncle Harold mentioned before he took his final breath, you could imagine the relief I felt to finally have the opportunity to escape my lessons without someone dragging me back every time I tried to ditch them. Question is: Will I be able to break the spell before the deadline? What if Arthur is 'the one'? Will I finally get the happy ending everybody keeps teasing me about? She waited for her to return all day and when she did not come home the following morning, Bathsheba knew that something was very, very wrong. So, she set out on a search of the city in hopes of finding her owner. Bathsheba looked in every nook and cranny that a cat could reach without even a sniff or a sign of where Emilia went. Just as she is about to give up, she happens upon a place that smells so strongly of magic that it calls out to her. It is a charming little shop tucked into an unlikely spot between two skyscrapers in the middle of downtown. Traveling up the path to the front door will lead Bathsheba on an adventure that will take her through the city and introduce her to Rhiannon, a newly minted witch, who has only just learned what she can do and has no ability to control it. Deciding to join forces, the two of them hunt for Emilia together. Along the way, they will overcome challenges not meant for a 16 year old girl and a cat to endure but what they will find in their search is pure magic.Complete

Still, witchcraft is punishable by death, and so Sora must be careful with her practices, lest she lose all she has. Sora is a better witch than wolf, though not by much, but she still pursues that craft in spite of the dangers. Her place in the world is a dangerous one, but will it last? The world she lives in is a dangerous one, and such a life as hers rarely ends happily. Disclaimer: this is a short prequel, Sora's story does not conclude with this one. If you finish this book and go "oh, that's the end?" it's because it's not the end. I'm writing a trilogy called Mortance that explores the larger world that this takes place in and concludes Sora's story more thoroughly than in this book.
