Daniel Cartonelle has survived horrible childhood of being abused by his father. He runs away to live in a huge national park, but while there he encounters a civilization of nature worshipers who's culture revolves around their god, the god of smoke. Then Daniel meets Miracle, the healer. Daniel falls in love with her. Will Miracle see through their differences and love him back? Will the civilization be able to teach Daniel to respect nature?
