"It was Monday, the 27th of August 1985,
an exceptionally pretty cool and rainy summer day...
I was on an airplane, next to my mother, and hoped to arrive in Canada as soon as possible."
Since Melody attended school in Hanna, she noticed this boy.
Long curly hair, lovely blue eyes and this mysterious appearance every time she met him in the hallway -if he was at school at all.
Because somehow the beautiful guy almost never was there.
Randomly she gets to know him -however Chad is very different as what she expected him to be.

Sydney didn't have much, but that was fine with her. She didn't need much. Growing up on the Washington coast in a lonely beach town, working quietly behind the scenes was what she was good at. Living on the beach was much less glamorous than most people imagine. Her home was a beat up old Winnebago that she had shared with her father until he passed. Her father had been a detached parent. He loved his daughter of course, but he was by no means an affectionate man. She had grown up fending for herself, working backstage at a bar that hosted live bands using a fake ID. After the death of her father she saw an ad for a guitar technician for a local Seattle band. A love of rock and roll had been the one thing that her and her dad had in common. Selling everything that she didn't need she packed up her pickup truck and travelled north to the city, leaving the sleepy town in her rear view mirror. She didn't expect to embark on what would become the adventure of a lifetime. For someone who had hardly left the town she grew up in, the opportunity to get paid to travel the country and listen to great music was a dream come true. The band became her family, and life on the road was a perfect fit for her. Chris Cornell instantly became Sydney's best friend in the whole world. They were in love, that was plain as day to anyone who paid attention. Yet, sometimes love isn't as simple as it should be. Sometimes, love hurts. Warning: This book covers potentially triggering subjects such as depression, suicidal ideation, domestic abuse, sexual assault, poverty and drug use. These are issues that many of us have faced and are very real. If you or a loved one is experiencing suicidal thoughts or abuse in a relationship, please reach out and find help. His hands are down at his sides, fists clenched. "Nothing, I just heard a strange noise-," "-and decided that you would go and check it out?" "I'm sorry," I say, stepping away from the door. He storms over to me and pushes me against the wall on my right. My back hurts as he pins me down. "Ahhh, you're hurting me," I cry, trying to push him off, but to no avail. "I've warned you before about going in that direction," he seethes. "If I ever catch you again..." His eyes narrow at me, an ominous threat hanging off the end of his unfinished statement, causing me to cower in fear of his cold gaze. ♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣ Megan Stevens meets her next boyfriend under unusual circumstances, and when a proposition arises for their first date, she has to make a decision: to accomodate this stranger or to go her merry way. Her best friend finds it unwonted and warns against it, but her brother sees it as an opportunity and encourages her to grasp it. When Megan stumbles upon doors that should remain closed and strange people with ulterior motives, will she let sleeping dogs lie? ___________________________________________________ Read along to find out what happens! There are six of us, all stereotyped the moment we're seen - Matt, Gee, Will, Jen, Court and Lena. The athlete, the princess, the brain, the criminal, the beauty and the sister. "The four of us students in here are the four most stereotyped kids in the school. I'm pretty sure I'm not making that up. You have Jen, the idiotic cheerleader, when in fact she is so smart she can guess anyone's emotions at any given time. Will, the aspiring jock, when he doesn't even like rugby anymore. Matt, the violent troublemaker? Seriously? You've shown me more affection than violence to be completely honest. Me? The perfect genius? Are you kidding me? I'm anything but perfect. My family is vanishing before my eyes and I don't even remember what the last thing I said to my parents was. All of us have our quirks and our stereotypes. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that what happened when we played that song... was that we all forgot who each other are stereotyped as and accepted each other for who we really are. So, all of you, get up off your idiotic asses and play a song like you mean it." *** Rated M for Sexual References and Coarse Language.
