17 year old, Jack Barakat decides to run away from his father and back to his mother in Baltimore. And on the way he meets and picks up a hitchhiker: 28 year old Alex Gaskarth, who is also headed to Baltimore. In which, the two happen to fall in love and blah blah blah, realizing that age don't matter that kind of thing. (So if you don't like the age difference and it makes you uncomfortable, then I suggest you read something else. Also, death and alcohol, drug, and spousal abuse will be apparent in this as well. So again, if you're uncomfortable with this type of stuff then don't read. Other than that, updates every other day!)

Some Kind Of Disaster
Alex is a fifteen year old boy who had the worst luck in life. He'd witnessed his parents deaths, he was bounced from foster home to foster home, but this was the last time. His torture was their entertainment. His pain was what they thrived on. Then it went way too far, and he ran. There was only one person he trusted, and it was the boy he met at school on his first day there. He barely knew this boy, but when he needed a friend, this sweet, raven haired boy told him the most important word that he hadn't heard in a long time. "You're safe." Safe was something Alex hadn't felt since he was a child, and even then, after the truth all came out, he realized he had never been safe in the first place. Jack was the boy's name, and Jack made Alex feel safe and loved. Disclaimer: Obviously I don't own Jack or Alex, and this story is simply a figment of my imagination. Alex Gaskarth is a nobody. He's just one small speck that walks the world alone and barely makes it by. He's lived off of his parents ever since he graduated, but now that they've moved back to England and left him in Baltimore, he's barely able to pay to put food on the table. He doesn't have a job (and doesn't care to get one) so the only way that he's able to make money is playing guitar in the local park, but what happens one day when he's approached by a stranger who just so happens to also be a part of the richest family in Baltimore? Jack Barakat is a somebody. Being one of the four children of a wealthy industry owner, he pretty much has enough money to buy whatever he wants and more. He enjoys having money, but there's one problem... Eventually the money runs out and the fact that his father has an obsession with alcohol and his mother is addicted to cocaine isn't helping any. He thought he could have all the fun being rich, but he's at the point where he realizes that the money will eventually get to your head and he wants out of that life. On the first day of 8th grade Jack Barakat notices the new kid, soon to be known as no other than Alex Gaskarth. Alex just moved to Baltimore and he already has all the popular kids wrapped around his little finger. How he managed to climb to the top of the popularity list is beyond Jack's knowing.
