All kits start out young and naive, don't they? They can't even begin to imagine the horrors that await them outside the walls of camp: the bloodshed, the heartbreak, the vast unknown. 

Doepaw claims that she'd never shy away from an adventure, that she'd fight tooth and claw for what she believes in, even if she must die for the cause. But that doesn't really seem to be the price for wanting what's right.

No, the price for peace is never one's own life.

CaveClan is becoming more of a threat and prey has become scarce as leaf-bare comes, but a young apprentice by the name of Darkpaw lets her own curiosity get the better of her to help her Clan-and maybe, just maybe she's the warrior ValleyClan has been looking for. NOTICE (so people won't bother me about them): I had not read past "The Prophecies Begin" when I wrote the prologue, chapter 1, and chapter 2 so you may seem some characters with names that already exist. Also, some cats' appearances may be based off of domesticated cats, are unrealistic, or don't follow the rules of cat genetics. I am aware that regular warrior cats are wild cats, but when I made these designs, I got so used to them that I am not encouraged to redesign them. But hey, this is a fictional story! Multiple things in this book may not be accurate to the traditional way of warrior life (due to me not remembering how it works).

But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her. Frostpaw feels that they are weird and tries to stay away from them any way that she can, but what happens when something horrible happens?
