"What's the difference?" Christina asked me, disgust written across her pretty features. "The expiry date implies that the good is of no use after, but the best before date means that the good can still be used," I explain, as if it is the most obvious thing in the world. And in a way, it is. *** What should Anderson Scott have on his mind? Baseball. Grades. Surviving his senior year. What shouldn't Anderson Scott have on his mind? Girls and other meaningless distractions. So what should he do? Every year, before every season, Andy and his best friend Marc go out and look for a girlfriend to focus on their baseball season. While it may seem pointless, having a girlfriend would keep them happy and distraction free. The girls who get roped in know what they're into, so no heartbreak. They get to date the baseball legends of the school. It's a win-win situation. That is until Christina Watson steps into the picture. She is a feminist to the very end, so her best friend's offer to be Marc's best before date absolutely horrifies her. The only thing she can do to save her precious friend is to volunteer to be Andy's good-for-the-season partner. Sparks (and other probably-breakable items) will fly.

I wouldn't say we're dating, but the bright line that's made between friendship and relationship is now a blurry mess. I've never been through anything like this before. The hand holding, the kissing, and the flapping of butterflies that never seems to go away every time I'm around Ashton. This is all so confusing, but in another sense, it's the only thing that makes sense." ~*~ At age ten, Mackenzie Elle Servet didn't think that there was anything with Ashton Jacob Lotest. All the girls in her fifth grade class only talked about him. Mackenzie, who helps her aunt as a cashier, actually talks to Ashton for the first time. He won't stop smiling, and it throws her off. People around town never smiled that much. Now in present time at age seventeen, she hasn't talked to Ashton ever since he bought a bottle of dog shampoo. Mackenzie has pushed back the thoughts of him in the deepest parts of her mind and never tries to bring them to surface. Why should she? It's just a little crush, right? When Ashton notices Mackenzie with dirt covering her cheeks, he tries everything to get to know her. Letting thoughts resurface and secrets become revealed allows Mackenzie to have the best summer of her life with Ashton being by her side. But with Ashton moving out of their small town to go to college and Mackenzie staying to help her aunt, their relationship becomes tested. Will the separation of becoming adults tear their love apart or will it bring them closer? Find out in Unconditionally. Teen Fiction Romance written by MaysileeSmith All Rights Reserved
