------"Look, all I'm asking for is a chance," Monroe desperately pleaded, his blue eyes raging like the sea. She shouldn't give him a chance, she shouldn't give him a chance, she shouldn't give him a chance to use her and break her heart. Despite this, she found herself conceding. She leaned closer, putting her hands on his shoulders. She rested her forehead against his. She didn't stand a chance....------- Rubella is an above-average straight A student. She's nice, nerdy, and harmless. Until she gets mad. Rubella has a temper. Her temper is certainly not one of her redeeming qualities, so surely if she met someone who angered her terribly, she'd hate him, right? But she can't help but be intrigued by him. Especially when they have to work together to get revenge on a certain person. Spending so much time around eachother, they begin to become friends, confidants even. With their strategy for revenge, things are bound to get complicated. Something forms between them, will they accept this new found bond, or will their past experiences push them apart?

"Marek, don't do this. Keep your captainship. I'll tell the truth about what happened and we'll both be out of the deal." "But-" "I don't know what your doing, if you think this is going to win you attention or sympathy. Or maybe you are being a noble prat and doing as 'you should'. Plus, I don't mean anything to you. Never have, never will. So please, please, stop acting like I'm special. " "But you are." And then his voice cracked, and I cracked with it. ------------------------ She's sick of his arrogant ways, and the bragging. With her goal being to slap some sense into him, she makes a deal; they act like a couple in every sense of the word and the first one to fall in love? Loses. It's only when she realises he may not be such a terrible man after all that she doubts her ability to win. But what if the one thing she put on the line is the one thing she would die trying to protect? Will she allow a relationship to blossom under pressure from her past? **Disclaimer** The drawing in the cover isn't mine (but it was so pretty I used it anyway).
