Time travel has always been a fickle thing, but when one goes through a year long time loop nine times, he gets tired of it. Daniel kept going back to prevent from his city and friend, Alex, from dying, but now he is out of time. With the ability of time travel gone, he must make sure that this time, everything goes right. But with the villain, Shinigami, making moves that are so different from the last loops, he isn't sure he can save Alex. And he isn't sure he cares if Alex dies or not- as long as Shinigami fails.
Alex Mare, however, begins his story gaining abilities that he uses to better the city around him by becoming the first superhero in years. While inexperienced, he discovers that things are not as black and white as they appear to be, and that he might not able to stop whatever is coming. With secrets and emotions flying his way, he isn't sure if he should even trust himself.

Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out?
